A Gelato Afternoon Tea – Snowflake Gelato

Afternoon Tea is one of my favourite British traditions. I love the idea of indulgent treats with a nice tea or coffee.

But what could be better than a Gelato afternoon tea in summer? Snowflake Gelato have really upped the gelato game with this magnificent, delicious and absolutely novel idea.

For £15 per person you get a selection of beautiful ice creams made to mimic classic afternoon tea items and a complimentary hot drink. Priced so reasonably this is a unique experience to add to your list for the summer.

Located in Selfridges food hall, the range is so intricate, perfect and pretty genius if you ask me! Created by Chef Silvia Gabetta who is originally from Bologna in northern Italy, some classics have been re-created with a gelato twist.

My personal favourite from a tasting session was the cannoli, which is usually filled with either custard and sometimes cheese, but this time pure gelato. It wasn’t too sweet either so you can actually get through a selection of desserts without feeling like you have eaten too much ice cream.

Other gelato desserts from the selection include macarons,  gelato cones and cakes. They all look so pretty and definitely one for Instagram!

If you make it in time for breakfast or brunch they also serve pancakes, waffles and gelato milkshakes if you want to have an indulgent start to the day. If you have food intolerances they also have gluten free cones and vegan flavoured ice cream available .

I really enjoyed my gelato selection and will definitely be back again throughout summer.

This is such a fun way to spend time, either in between shopping or with friends and family doing something different.

It is so well priced and I foresee big queues so make sure you book a slot in advance by calling 02073183706
