About Binny

Hi I’m Binny, a mojito loving food and travel blogger currently based in London. I was born in the East African coastal city of Mombasa, Kenya, and grew up surrounded by palm trees, the sea, and beautiful scenery.

When I was 16, my family moved to Nairobi, where I did my A’levels and then left for the UK to go to University at 18. I studied for 3 years at Cardiff University, after which I did a postgraduate in Marketing in Manchester.

I work in an Investments product team at a bank as my day job. I love animals, especially cats, and I am also a keen supporter in the fight against poaching of Elephants, Rhinos and other endangered species.

In my free time, I love to blog about food, whether it is to share recipes for dishes I love or posts about restaurants I have tried.

I also love travelling and share hotel reviews as well as content about travel destinations, whether through personal travel or press trips, on my blog.

I won Highly Commended in the Cosmopolitan Blog Awards, 2015 and I was a finalist in the UK Blog Awards 2016.

My idea of bliss is a delicious mojito and creme brûlée while relaxing on a tropical beach.
